Our Partners in Mission

  • ZoZu Project

Founded by Central Coast natives Mick and Elaine Lebens, Zozu Project works to break the cycle of poverty in Uganda by partnering with the local church to provide education, economic opportunity, and hope. What began as a short-term family missions trip has grown into a life-long commitment to these children, and today Zozu Project has a primary school, medical clinic, and preschool, and educates over 300 children who would otherwise be on the streets. God has time and again shown his faithfulness and heart for the poor, and everyone in Zozu Project delights in being a part of his healing work in the forgotten communities we serve. The Highlands community has supported the construction of the preschool, and sponsors children in their education on a continual basis.

  • Loaves & Fishes

Loaves and Fishes is supported solely by local churches that believe together we can feed our neighbors. We here at Highlands support them financially every month along with providing volunteers to help come alongside the Loaves and Fishes Director to distribute food. We also provide one-time yearly support through our PR Serve Day – where we send volunteers to stock, clean and bag food for the locals in need.

  • Hope Church @ Arizona State University

    Alicia Canalas

Hope Christian Church is a dynamic non-denominational church based on the Arizona State University, Tempe Campus. Our mission is to live for the next generation and help ASU students to BELONG, BELIEVE, and BECOME.

  • Cru @UCSB (Campus crusade for Christ)

    Jeff and Robyn Wood

This ministry has grown tremendously over the past five years that we have partnered with the Wood’s family. They have grown the CRU group at UCSB to over 500 students participating in weekly activities. They have been instrumental in numerous decisions for Christ on their campus. Jeff and Robyn are both native Paso Roblans and we are proud to partner with them on a monthly financial basis.
