Serving our Local Community

Highlands Church strives to bring the Gospel beyond the church walls to where people are. Serving people in our community – whether directly or through partnership – allows us to be a bright light of faith, hope, and love. Get involved by volunteering for a local outreach event or serve regularly with an ongoing program or agency.

  • Girl Talk –

This program began in 2010 at Flamson Middle School and currently is offered on four other campuses weekly. Katy Griffin runs a nationally recognized program called Girl Talk, which empowers young girls to be the girl who God created them to be. The lessons each week range from self-worth to communicating effectively with their parents. Highlands Church supports these schools sites by providing staffing and food for the program.

  • Paso Cares –

This is a non-profit organization that began in the Winter of 2016. Their goal is to provide shelter for transients during the winter months. Highlands offers its facilities monthly (along with other local churches) to be a safe, warm place for numerous families here in our local community.
